YOUR CHECKLIST - PURCHASING A USED RV
This form is a checklist for your inspection of a used RV. Print it out and take it with you when you are looking to purchase a used RV. Many times we cannot remember from vehicle to vehicle the equipment on each. This form will help you remember and make the right decision on the next purchase of a used RV.

Door Hinges |
Check for wear and tear. |

Engine |
Did it start without any difficulty? |

Fans |
Ceiling fans, exhaust fans and small fans.... |

Generator |
Start the generator. Check to see if the oil and filer has been changed recently. |

Leaks |
Check for leaks around doors, windows and floor |

Lighting |
Check the lighting system. Are they all in working order? |

Side Mirrors |
Check for cracks and visibility |

Scratches, dents etc |

Road Test |
Check brakes, any overheating, climbing power, oil leaks and any engine noise that is unusual. Check the front air conditioning and the heater and at the time be sure to check all fan levels. Check the steering while on your road test.

Air Conditioning |
Run the air conditioning for 30 minutes and be sure to check the converter. Converter on some models take a longer time to convert over. Run the air conditioning with the generator and on electrical power. Be sure to turn off the generator and convert over to electrical before turning on the A/C. |

If there is smoke from the exhaust this will indicate a potential problem. |

Check for wear and tear. |

Refrigerator |
Have owners to have the frig on before you arrive so you can check the coldest of the unit. |

Does it have security system and is in working order? |

Stove |
Light the stove and oven |

Water |
Turn on water pump and make sure the pump is working. Turn on all water and check for leaks and pressure. Check the hot water heater. |
